ET401EB-301P2B1P-NA - Zebra ET401 RFID Tablet
- Part #:
- ET401EB-301P2B1P-NA
The Zebra ET401 upgrades the proven ET40 and ET45 platform with faster processing, IP68 sealing, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, enhanced touchscreen performance, and new data-capture options. Available in 8-inch and 10.1-inch models, the ET401 can be configured for mobile employees, vehicle installations, kiosks, point-of-sale stations, and operational workstations.
Because display size, cellular connectivity, scanning, RFID, cameras, memory, and power options vary, selecting the correct Zebra ET401 part number is essential.
The 8-inch model weighs 1.05 pounds and uses a 6,100 mAh battery. Its smaller footprint is a strong fit for employees who carry the tablet throughout the day, including retail associates, delivery personnel, field technicians, and warehouse supervisors.
The 10.1-inch model weighs 1.49 pounds and includes a 7,600 mAh battery. The larger display makes it easier to review forms, schematics, work instructions, dashboards, photographs, and customer-facing applications.
Both models provide 1920 × 1200 resolution, 600-nit brightness, Gorilla Glass 5, and touch input using a bare finger, glove, or optional conductive stylus.
For occasional barcode scanning, the ET401 can decode barcodes through its rear camera. Higher-volume applications should consider a dedicated scan engine:
These are separate configuration choices and should not be assumed to be included on every ET401.
Zebra DNA provides tools for configuring, securing, managing, and optimizing ET401 tablets. Zebra LifeGuard for Android delivers operating-system security updates when paired with a qualifying Zebra OneCare maintenance contract.
Additional licensed Zebra solutions include Identity Guardian for secure user access, Device Guardian for locating misplaced devices, Zebra Pay for payment applications, Workcloud Sync for workforce communication, and Workstation Connect for using the tablet as a workstation. Availability and licensing requirements should be verified for the intended region and configuration.
Secure Element and Android Strongbox help protect sensitive information against physical hardware attacks. Select models also include an embedded HID security chip for supported card- or badge-based access applications.
The ET401 supports USB-C charging, bottom and back I/O connections, optional docks, keyboards, mounting accessories, and an expansion back. The expansion back can accommodate a 3,400 mAh secondary battery that can be hot swapped while the tablet remains operating.
For kiosks, vehicles, or permanently installed workstations, the ET401 can draw continuous power through USB-C or its bottom or back I/O without an installed battery. This configuration can avoid battery-related maintenance in fixed installations.

The ET401 is the next-generation platform following the ET40 and ET45. It offers updated processing, wireless connectivity, ruggedness, security, and data-capture capabilities while retaining compatibility with nearly all existing ET40/ET45 accessories.
The SE4100 fits low- to moderate-volume standard-range scanning. The SR500 is better suited to applications requiring additional range, scanning in bright sunlight, or more visible aiming.
Yes. Both sizes use user-replaceable batteries. An optional expansion back adds a hot-swappable secondary battery for workflows requiring extended operating time.
Yes. A permanently installed ET401 can draw power from an external source through USB-C or the bottom or back I/O connections.
Included components depend on the exact SKU or product bundle. Verify whether the selected ET401 includes a power supply, cable, cradle, dock, or other accessories.
The ET401 is IP68 sealed and tested for multiple four-foot drops to concrete. An optional rugged frame increases the tested drop height to 5.1 feet per MIL-STD-810H.
